For my first post, I would like to describe how I became a member of the VRWC. It basically started during high school. I took a class called "contemporary issues." At the time, I had no clue about any of the political goings on of the day. During the course of the class, we discussed issues ranging from abortion, to free speech.
Occasionally, my teacher would show clips from The O'Reilly Factor, so I started watching The O'Reilly Factor on my own. From that show, I found out about Hannity and Colmes. From this show I discovered that the beliefs that I had, and the things that I would think where being expressed by conservative Sean Hannity. Both the liberal and conservative perspectives of events were given, so I could decide for myself what I believed.
I listened to liberals and what they believed in. I heard the Democratic leadership in Washington and I disagreed with them on everything. I really couldn't believe what I heard. You can choose to kill an unborn baby, but putting someone to death who rapes then murders is cruel and unusual? America is the REAL problem? Our troops terrorize innocent civilians and murder them in cold blood? We can't win in Iraq? Quagmire, Quagmire, Quagmire, Vietnam, Vietnam, Vietnam. I don't think so.
I dont' know about you, but these are not the people I want running this country.
